The Daily Word of Righteousness
The Army of the Lord, continued
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Revelation 12:10,11)
The thrones of the air will now be occupied by the Lord Jesus and his victorious saints.
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. (Daniel 7:9)
I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. (Daniel 7:21,22)
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4)
This is why the resurrected saints are caught up to be with the Lord where the thrones of the air are located. The saints cannot be harmed by any power or authority on the earth and so their being caught up is not an escape from evil. Rather they are ascending the thrones that govern the creation so they, through the Lord Jesus Christ, may release the creation from evil.
For the earnest expectation of the creature [creation] waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. (Romans 8:19)
The material creation is waiting for the appearing of the sons of God because it is they, through the Lord Jesus, who will deliver the creation from the bondage of corruption.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:4)
What a glorious hope we have! As spiritual darkness fills the world we look up because our redemption is coming from Heaven with Christ. The painful travail of the earth is the pain that accompanies birth—the birth of the Kingdom of God.
Best of all we shall be reunited not only with the Lord Jesus but also with our loved ones. We now can live on the earth with them in a body that can never know weariness, pain, heat, cold, weakness, sickness, or death. Can you think of anything more wonderful than that? What a comfort this is for those who are suffering in the present hour!
This is the good news of the soon coming of the Kingdom of God to the earth.
