The Daily Word of Righteousness
Revelation 10:7, continued
Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty: (Deuteronomy 16:16)
It is water to the hips and finally water to swim in. It is crucifixion with Christ and resurrection with Christ. It is the forming of Christ in us. It is the Kingdom of God.
The three areas of reconciliation, the world, the lusts of the flesh and soul, and self-will, are being exposed and worked at today by those who have a desire to move past the Pentecostal experience.
You can see immediately why the Blowing of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement must come between Pentecost and Tabernacles.
You can't jump from Pentecost to Tabernacles. People are trying to do this today as the emphasis on the Tabernacles experience is increasing. But it won't work. You have to go from Pentecost to Trumpets to the Day of Atonement to Tabernacles.
I know all of this may sound nuts to the unlearned but believe me it is of the essence. We have millions of believers who call themselves after the fourth feast of the Jews (Pentecost) not realizing there are three more feasts to be experienced.
Now, why can't we jump from Pentecost to Tabernacles without going through the Day of Atonement? It is because God cannot dwell in us in untroubled rest until we have been reconciled to Him in the area of worldliness, in the area of lust and worship (whatever you lust after is your God, that which you worship), and in the area of self-will and personal ambition.
It is the feast of Tabernacles that represents the eternal goal of God. The three great symbols of Jewry, the altar, the lampstand, and the booth, reflect the eternal purpose of God. The altar and the lampstand lead to the booth. God's great and eternal desire is to dwell in the heart of His creatures. His Kingdom is an inner kingdom.
There are two parts of the "Tabernacles" experience. The first part is the forming of Christ in us. The second part is the coming of the Father and the Son to dwell in that which has been formed in us.
That which has been formed in us is of the Substance and Nature of Christ, being fashioned from His body and blood. It is the new creation. It is an eternal blend of Christ and our personality. It is a new humanity. It is a son of God and a son of man. It is a unique expression of Christ to the universe.
All of the gifts and ministries labor to this endùthat Christ may be formed in His Body, His Church.
Christ is the eternal Temple of God. God will dwell only in Christ, never in an angel, never in a human being.
As Christ is formed in us the dwelling place of God is formed in us. When Christ has come to maturity in us, then the Father and the Son will come through the Holy Spirit and make Their eternal abode in us. This is the spiritual fulfillment of the Jewish feast of Tabernacles.
The omega of salvation has occurred when Christ has been formed in us, the Father and the Son through the Spirit have taken up Their abode in us, and our mortal body has been raised and clothed upon with immortality. When all of this takes place our redemption has been finished.
From then on we have all of eternity to grow into the image of Jesus Christ.
One can readily see from the above statements that after we have received Christ and been filled with the Spirit we have just started to enter the Kingdom of God. We have been authorized and we have the tools. Now the job begins.
The Kingdom of God is at hand. Indeed it is! How many are willing to leave the unprofitable traditions of the past (not the things Christ has established) and ride into the Kingdom behind the Lord Jesus?
Are you?
