The Daily Word of Righteousness
Revelation 10:7, continued
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: (Colossians 1:26,27)
The blood atonement made by Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary authorizes us to enter the Kingdom of God. The baptism with the Holy Spirit provides us with the wisdom and power to enter the Kingdom of God. If we have received the blood atonement and the Holy Spirit we have the authority, wisdom, and power to enter the Kingdom of God.
However, it is the experience of the feast of Tabernacles that is the Kingdom of God.
Let us say a man was hired to work at a factory. He now is authorized to enter the premises. This would be comparable to our receiving the blood atonement.
Let us say further that the man was directed to the tool crib and then to the area where he was to work. This would be comparable to our receiving the Holy Spirit.
He now is ready to begin the job.
We Christians, having received Christ and been baptized with the Spirit of God, now have the authority and the tools to do something.
The Kingdom of God, Christ in us, the spiritual fulfillment of the feast of Tabernacles, is that "something."
Before we are faced with the Kingdom of God we must pass through the spiritual fulfillment of the Blowing of Trumpets. This means we must become acquainted with spiritual warfare and accept the discipline required of every soldier of the Lord's army. Remember there is to be no sin in the Kingdom of God, so we have to be prepared to have the rod of iron created in us so we can drive from our personality all that is not of God.
Next we must experience the Day of Atonement. The spiritual fulfillment of the Day of Atonement is the reconciling of our entire personality to God. Each Christian has been legally reconciled to God by receiving Jesus Christ. Now it is time for the actual reconciliation.
There are three areas of reconciliation that must be dealt with.
The first is worldliness. Whoever would be a friend of the world system is the enemy of God. All that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but of the world.
We must come out of the world. We must reckon that we have been crucified with Christ. Now the world is crucified to us and we to the world. Adam is dead!
If every believer would take this stand when he or she is baptized in water it would be much easier for the individual to follow the Holy Spirit in the experiences yet ahead.
Numerous American Christians are worldly. They are much too involved with the television, with unprofitable material on the Internet, with professional sports, with amassing money, with buying material comforts and luxuries. It is nonsense to speak of them as disciples of Jesus, which by definition is what a Christian is. They are not disciples, not Christians. They are churchgoers but not Christians.
We have a generation of lukewarm believers. It is almost useless to talk to them about entering the Kingdom of God. They are arrogant, hard of heart, refusing to discuss anything except how they are going to Heaven by grace.
To be reconciled to God in actuality our worldly believers will have to humble themselves and seek God's face. God has more for them than they have any idea but they are so much a part of the world they cannot hear His voice.
To be continued.
