The whole Body of Christ will be anointed with a double portion of power from Heaven. The saints will go to every nation under the heavens, healing the sick, casting out devils, and proclaiming the soon coming from Heaven of the Kingdom of God. In that day the world will begin to understand there is an impregnable wall between the Church and the world. All eternal life, all Divine light, is in the Church of Christ. In order to live and to understand the truth, the world will be required to come to the saints.

It will do us no good to wait for the gifted and prominent leaders in the churches to take the lead. Each of us who has the call of God in his or her heart must arise and build, must come to the help of the Lord against His enemies as the Lord directs us. This is harvest time and we do not want to make our heavenly Father ashamed of us.

Hopefully many of the leaders of the churches will "put their necks" into moving God's people toward holiness, toward the restoring of the purity and power of the Body of Christ. We must have the contribution of the ministries and gifts of every member of the Body in order for the program of restoration to move ahead.

When the Lord builds up Zion He appears in His glory. We wish to hasten His appearing!

The Old Gate

Moreover the old gate repaired Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. (Nehemiah 3:6)

There is no "new doctrine," "new revelation," coming from the Spirit today. It is true that the Spirit of wisdom and revelation is being given, but it is for the uncovering of original scriptural truth, not for the presenting of revelation that goes beyond the Scriptures. The concept of restoration is that of rebuilding an original structure. It is the unscriptural traditions by which the Church has been destroyed, such as lawless grace and the pre-tribulation rapture, that are the new doctrines, the new "revelations."

We are returning to apostolic teachings and practices. We are returning to reliance on the Holy Spirit of God rather than on the efforts of talented flesh. We are returning to prayer and are withdrawing from the ambitions and schemes of religious men.

Christ crucified is being restored as the core of our message. We are teaching disciples rather than an assembly of people who will not receive Christ as their personal Lord.

Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. (Jeremiah 6:16)

There are many today who are choosing to seek and to walk in the old paths of righteousness, holiness, and stern obedience to the Father. Also, there are many who are attempting to find a new, cross-less Christianity in which they can use Christ in order to accomplish their own ends. Because they have rejected the way of cross-carrying obedience to Christ, God will permit Satan to deceive them. In fact, God Himself will place a strong delusion on those who do not love the truth so they will believe a lie. They will labor on and on but their goal of peace and joy always will elude them.

But the oil of joy will be poured on the righteous.
