The Daily Word of Righteousness
The Inner Kingdom, #14
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. (II Corinthians 1:19,20)
The love of God in Christ causes the true saints to say Amen! to the image to which God has predestined them, to the relationships God has determined for them, to the time and manner of fruitfulness that God has reserved for them, and to the dominion to which they have been assigned from the foundation of the world.
The love of God in Christ causes the saints to be true and faithful witnesses of God and of His Christ. They do not seek to please people but to please God who tests their hearts.
The love of God in Christ causes the saints to abandon their first personalities and to become new creations, of whom the Lord Jesus is the Beginning, the Firstborn from the dead.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Revelation 3:22)
The Christian churches contain multitudes of people. The Lord Jesus is calling out individual believers and insisting they overcome, through His Divine Nature, the sins and problems found in the churches.
The Lord Jesus is tolerating for a season the abominations of the nations and the abominations of the Christian churches because of His exceedingly great love toward the Bride whom He is calling out.
The true members of the Bride have ears to hear. The call of the Shepherd is stronger in their lives than the lures of the world. They are being drawn upward, while the "deaf" believers are busily engaged in the various interests of the churches.
The Bride suffers much in the world and often in the churches. The Christian churches do not understand the Bride. The Spirit gives gifts to the churches, just as Eliezer gave gifts to the relatives of Rebecca so they would be willing to allow her to return with him to Isaac (Genesis 24:53).
One day the voice of the Bridegroom and the Bride will be gone from Babylon, from organized Christianity.
The last days will be characterized by spiritual deception. Already we can behold the remarkable effectiveness of the devices of Antichrist. The believers in Christ can be deceived easily, particularly if the deception is a counterfeit of the Gospel and offers prosperity and ease to them. God Himself sends delusion on them because they have not chosen, obeyed, and loved the truth. They have attempted to evade their cross.
Let us, who are hearing the voice of Jesus, open our heart to Him. Let us give first priority in our life to the growth of the Kingdom of God in us. Let us take up our cross and follow Jesus, even when He leads us through tribulations and afflictions. Let us accept our sufferings now so we can rejoice with Him at His glorious appearing.
In an age when Christians are busily endeavoring to secure their rights and welfare, let us go forth to meet our Shepherd and Bridegroom. (from Laodicea)
