The Daily Word of Righteousness
The Inner Kingdom, #9
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Matthew 28:18)
Remember, the Lord Jesus is the Throne of God. God dwells in Him and governs through Him.
The Father and the Son take Their place as the lawful Ruler of our personality. We sit with Jesus on the throne of our own personality (which is Jesus' lawful throne), and the Father remains on the throne of Jesus' personality. In this manner the Throne of God and of the Lamb is established in the new Jerusalem, which is the Body of Christ, the Church, the Wife of the Lamb.
Again, in Revelation 2:26-28, the Morning Star is placed together with our ruling over the nations of the earth. The Morning Star is the Lord Jesus. The giving of the Morning Star to us means that Christ enters us and becomes our Life. Only then are we fit to rule the nations of the earth.
It never shall be given to man, even to redeemed man, to rule the nations of the earth. There is one true Ruler—God. God has chosen Jesus to be His throne, to be the place from which God rules.
It is given to man to rule only to the extent that man has become the throne of Christ. Apart from the rule of Christ in him, religious man soon would bring chaos to the nations.
The central problem of the universe is disobedience to the will of God. The nations of the earth refuse to obey God. Therefore they dwell in suffering, corruption, and death.
God cannot bless the nations because they are disobedient.
God has enough power to force people to do His will. But if God were to force people to perform His will, people would become puppets. A puppet cannot love God and have fellowship with God. The children of God are not puppets.
Adam disobeyed God. Abraham obeyed God and became the "father" of the Seed in whom all the nations of the earth will be blessed.
The issue is obedience. The issue is that of who is sitting on the throne.
The Lord Jesus Himself was perfected in obedience to God through the things He suffered (Hebrews 5:8).
Christ always does the things that please God. This is the Kingdom of God, the rule of God.
Now it is the turn of the saints. They must learn to obey God.
Most Christians are at the salvation level, the thirtyfold level. They are in waters to their ankles, so to speak.
A smaller group of Christians is marching in the ranks of the Pentecostals. They are at the sixtyfold level, being in waters to their knees.
An even smaller group of Christians is being drawn from the Pentecostals. The smaller group is reaching toward the mark of the "Tabernacles" level, the place of the fullness of God. Here is the hundredfold level, waters to the loins, and finally waters to swim in (Ezekiel 47:3-5).
It is this "Gideon's army" with which God is dealing so rigorously. The saints have many obstacles that must be overcome. They are learning obedience through the things they are suffering.
To be continued.
