The Daily Word of Righteousness
Ye Shall Receive Power, #28
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (I Corinthians 15:52)
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (I Thessalonians 4:16,17)
At the same moment, in the twinkling of an eye, the bodies of the living saints will be made immortal, being clothed with the white robes of salvation. The transformation of the dead and living saints will take place before we are caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. (Isaiah 61:10)
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken [make alive] your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (Romans 8:11)
For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. (II Corinthians 5:4)
This resurrection of the dead will take place before the ascension into the clouds.
Antichrist and the wicked of the earth now are faced with indestructible saints robed in the garments of redemption. Standing before these evil, unclean worldlings is Joel's army, Habakkuk's army, the elect of the Lord. Moses, Elijah, Abraham, David, Peter, Paul, John, are standing on the earth in resurrection bodies.
That which is perfect has arrived. Now there are no more partial ministries. The Lampstand of God is complete and burning with a flame so bright as to eclipse the sun.
The command of God issues from Heaven:
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1)
The God of the earth will speak to the enemy through the mouths of His saints:
The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. (Joel 3:16)
The elect, the army of the Lord, are on their feet on the earth. They are invincible, just as Christ was invincible as soon as He was raised from the dead, abiding on the earth in indestructible power and glory for forty days. After Christ had been resurrected, it was not necessary to God to catch Him up into the clouds in order for Him to escape being harmed by Caesar.
