Ye Shall Receive Power, #18

And thou shalt make a candlestick [lampstand] of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. (Exodus 25:31)

Until we gain a vision of the great Divine Lampstand of God, who is Christ—Head and Body, we tend to place too much emphasis on the local churches. Placing too much emphasis on the local churches destroys the unity and maturity of the one Body of Christ, the second Lampstand that will bear the end-time witness of the soon coming of the Kingdom of God to the earth.

If we are not careful our local church becomes a kingdom separate from the Kingdom of God.

The Wife of the Lamb is not the local churches. The Wife of the Lamb is the Substance of the Divine Christ created in us by the manifestations of the Holy Spirit that are distributed among us. She is of Christ's Divine Nature (II Peter 1:3,4; Hebrews 2:11; John 1:13).

If a person were to see Christ ministering and hear Him speak he would believe one Person was ministering and speaking. But we know from what Jesus told us that in reality two People were ministering and speaking as One. The Father and the Son work as One; and yet it is "the testimony of two men" and therefore lawful.

It equally is true that whenever the Body of Christ serves in its corporate ministry as the Light of the world, the Temple of God, the Servant of the Lord, and in all the other aspects of its external, corporate ministry, it never is the Body alone that is functioning nor is it Christ alone who is working. It is Christ in and with His Body.

Therefore the Light of the world, the Temple of God, and the Servant of the Lord, compose "two men" just as the Father and the Son are "two men" (John 8:17).

The elect, the members of the Body of Christ, the remnant, the saints of God, will pass throughout the entire earth in the days preceding the coming of the Lord. We shall heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils, and bear witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and of the soon coming of the Kingdom of God to the earth.

If any person will attempt to stop or harm us the judgment of God will fall on him. He will be consumed by the Word of the Divine testimony, as happened to Ananias and Sapphira who lied to the Spirit of God.

The God of the whole earth has determined every tribe and village on the earth will see and hear His glorious testimony. God will not allow that determination to be frustrated by men or by Satan.

We can understand, from the world conditions of today that it will require the kind of fiery judgment portrayed in Revelation, Chapter 11 if we are to gain access to every person. Many governments of our time are determined the Word of God will not have free course among their citizens.

To be continued.
