The Daily Word of Righteousness
A New World of Righteousness, #3
But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. (Isaiah 57:20)
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. (Revelation 13:1)
We can notice, in the above passage, that Antichrist will come "out of the sea," that is to say, out of the swirling waters of mankind. It appears a multitude of people is more likely to produce evil than it is to bring forth righteousness, holiness, and obedience to God.
God has determined every member of the nations of saved peoples of the earth will be known to God, will know God, will be known to the holy angels of God, and to some degree will be the habitation of God through Christ.
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: (Ephesians 1:10)
And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. (I Corinthians 15:28)
We can praise God that no longer will there be on the earth the teeming masses of people who can be driven to and fro by the ambitions of men and devils. Every person will belong to God and will be the dwelling place of God. This is what it means to be saved.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (Revelation 21:2)
The Apostle John is bearing witness of what he actually saw.
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. (I John 1:3)
Notice that the city of God, the eternal abode of the saints, is the holy city. Holiness has two dimensions: the absence of the presence and works of unclean spirits; and union with the Holy Spirit of God. The individual who is seeking to dwell in the city of God is desiring to be where there is no sin.
The new Jerusalem is the center of government of the Kingdom of God, and the Kingdom of God is the doing of God's will. There will be no sin or rebellion of any kind in the holy city.
God is weighing our motives and actions today. God knows whether we truly desire to be free from all sin. If we do He has prepared a city for us. If we are unsure, not being certain purity really appeals to us, God will bring us into situations that will require some decisions on our part.
If you in your heart fear God and want to please Him, tell Him on every appropriate occasion that you desire to be cleansed from all actions, words, and imaginations that are not pure in His sight, that are not found in Himself and part of Himself. God shall cleanse you by one means or another if this is what you truly want. (from Revelation: Chapters Twenty-one and Twenty-two)
