The Daily Word of Righteousness
A Basic Concept, #15
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ [the Messiah]. (Corinthians 12:12)
As Christ is formed in us we become cells in His great Body, the Body of the Anointed Deliverer. The Anointed Deliverer includes the Head, and then the Body fashioned from the Head.
The Servant of the Lord has a Head, the exalted Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. The saints, the elect, the Israel of God, are members of the Body. Christ is in every cell of His Body, the cells having been fashioned from His body and blood.
In order for any person to become a part of the Body of Christ he must be transformed in moral nature and character and brought into restful union with the Head. Otherwise we have a body that does not obey the Head. A body that does not obey its head is suffering from an illness of the nervous system.
The vehicle for the end-time revival. As we have mentioned previously, at the time of the transition from the Church Age to the Kingdom Age there will be a tremendous, double-portion outpouring of the Spirit of God upon the elect, as described in Isaiah, Chapter 60.
The double portion of Divine Glory and Divine judgment is typified by the two sets of clasps (50 gold and 50 bronze) that connected the coverings of the Tabernacle of the Congregation (Exodus 26:6,11). The two sets of 50 clasps were located over the veil that led into the Holy of Holies, signifying the transition from the present Church Age to the thousand-year Kingdom Age.
Fifty is the number of Pentecost.
Such an outpouring of Divine Glory, and the resulting ingathering of the nations of the saved, will not be possible until a firstfruits of the elect have attained the desired image and union. God will not give Glory to this extent, nor will He entrust His beloved nations, to anyone who is not walking in righteousness, holiness, and obedience or is not in perfect union with Himself through Christ.
God will not give His Glory to another! We must become part of God, married to Him, if we are to receive the fullness of the Glory.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. (John 17:22,23)
To be continued.
