The Daily Word of Righteousness
The Body of the Anointed One, #11
This is what God the LORD says—he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it: (Isaiah 42:5—NIV)
Is God now changing the subject? No, He realizes we have a hard time picturing how justice and His law will prevail in the earth. So He points to the fact that He created the heavens, the earth, and the people who live on the earth.
Is anything too hard for God?
When God says His servant will bring justice to the earth and the islands will hope in the Divine law, then this is what is going to happen.
We see in our day so much lying, guile, treachery, covetousness, seeking of preeminence, hatred, and murder it seems impossible justice could ever fill the earth. Yet it shall happen. We know this because God said so, and God is the One who created the heavens, the earth, and the people on the earth.
If God had not promised justice to the world, then we would be foolish to suppose such a condition could ever come about. In this case we should live our life as well as we can until we are so fortunate as to die. Attempting to bring about a little bit of justice would soon leave us discouraged.
But God has spoken! It shall come to pass precisely as He has stated! Let us therefore rejoice and do what we can to build the Body of Christ. Perhaps in so doing we may hasten the installation of the Kingdom of God on the earth.
I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, To open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. (Isaiah 42:6,7—NIV)
I, the Lord.
Is Jesus Christ your personal Lord? We have known Him as the gentle Shepherd. Now we are to know Him as Lord.
There are seraphim, cherubim, exalted rulers and wealthy men, wise men, philosophers, teachers, scientists, but God has made Jesus Christ Lord of all.
Let us take our eyes off our many gods and see the Lord, high and lifted up.
When we see Him in His kingly robes and the majesty of His train we will understand more clearly that Jesus indeed is Lord.
Let the spiritual forces of light, and of darkness as well, bow the knee and proclaim Jesus as Lord of all!
Those who do not bow the knee to the Lord Jesus are to be removed from all that is joyous, all that is wonderful, all that is holy.
We have not called ourselves to the Kingdom. The Lord has called us. It is the Lord who has commissioned us to bring righteousness to the nations. Therefore all that is written shall come to pass in detail.
