The Body of the Anointed One, #9
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. (Psalms 27:14—NIV)
Whoever would work in the Kingdom is wise if he or she will first establish his or her relationship with the Lord. Make sure the Lord knows you! The fact you can prophesy or work miracles or cast out demons in His name is not a sign He knows you. Remember that!
Wait on the Lord until you know what you are doing. You may have to wait many years, but what does it matter? If you lift up yourself and move out ahead of Christ you may seemingly accomplish many things but it will profit you absolutely nothing. This is foolishness.
You are going to have to believe that Christ cares more about His Church and Kingdom than you do. You don't have to do His work for Him. He is building His own Church. All He asks you to do is to be obedient and faithful to what He says. Nothing more!
Why should you kill yourself with work and get nothing for it?
Ministers today are trying to use the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will not be used by them. The Holy Spirit is God. He will always honor the name of Jesus, but He will do so in His own time and way. It is not given to men to administrate the Holy Spirit or the angels.
The False Prophet is the church of the last days that seeks to use the things of the Spirit apart from the leading of Christ. Don't get caught in this.
The ways of the Lord are peaceful and restful. His yoke is easy and His burden light. The waters of Shiloah run softly. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him. Delight yourself in the Lord as He delights in you. Tell Him what you desire and then let Him work. Do not force people or circumstances.
A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; (Isaiah 42:3—NIV)
Bruised reeds and smoldering wicks are people who have been injured spiritually.
When we are lifting ourselves up, running about to build our own kingdom, we are apt to trample down people in the process. If they do not meet our standards quickly enough we cast them from us.
How many tender plants have been ground under the heels of the spiritually ambitious?
When we are waiting patiently on the Lord, inquiring in His temple, we are perfectly willing to work gently and patiently with one or two people for however long it takes. There is no hurry. God may bring them forth to glorious victory if we do not become impatient.
The servant of the Lord must not strive or be quarrelsome. He must be gentle, apt to teach, patient with the weak.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice.
Faithfulness is a highly prized virtue in the Kingdom of God. God is faithful. Christ is faithful. Every member of Christ's Body must be called, chosen, and faithful.
Faithfulness is not a gift, it is part of the fruit of the Spirit. Faithfulness is always doing under every circumstance what we are responsible to do.
To be continued.
