The Daily Word of Righteousness
The Day of Christ, #39
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (I Timothy 6:10)
Judas sold his Christ for money. Antichrist always sells Christ for money. How many Christian teachers of today are convincing the believers that the sign of God's blessing is the acquiring of material wealth?
Throughout the Scriptures the love of money has destroyed those who have been possessed by it. Balaam, Gehazi, Judas Iscariot, and Ananias and Sapphira come to mind.
The love of money, the worship of money, is the way of Antichrist.
People can gain what they want by obtaining enough money; or they can gain what they want by cleaving to the cross of Christ and waiting patiently for God to answer their prayers.
Which way do you choose—the way of patience or the way of "now"? The way of the cross or the way of money? The way of soulish faith or the way of spiritual faith? The way of Antichrist or the way of Christ? The way of Satan or the way of God?
Antichrist will base his new world order on money, not on trust in God through Christ. The mark of Antichrist is trust in material gain.
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (II Thessalonians 2:4)
"Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped." Three is the number of God. Six is the number of man—man having been created on the sixth day. Three sixes (666), the number of Antichrist, symbolizes man making himself God.
There are two focuses of God's plan for His creation: (1) that the Lord Jesus Christ become the Center of all things in the universe; and (2) that righteousness and praise spring forth in the earth in the sight of all nations. The second dimension comes into being only as the first is accomplished.
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: (Ephesians 1:10)
For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. (Isaiah 61:11)
All creatures, circumstances, events, and things are working together toward the perfect accomplishment of these two aspects of the Divine goal.
That the Lord Jesus Christ become the Center of all things in the universe.
That righteousness and praise spring forth in the earth in the sight of all nations.
Christ is an abomination to Satan. The concept that Jesus is to be the Center of everything and that Satan himself, along with all other creatures, must bow the knee to Jesus and confess that Jesus is Lord and Christ, is an abomination to Satan.
Satan does not want the nations to learn righteousness. He himself is unrighteous and lustful and much prefers that people wallow in the lusts of their flesh, and that they serve themselves rather than God.
In addition, Satan desires to be worshiped and his person and works to be praised.
To be continued.
