The Daily Word of Righteousness
The Convergence, #24
For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory. (Psalms 102:16—NIV)
Soon after that, the Lord Jesus will appear, breathing resurrection life into the members of His purified Body. When the Lord builds up Zion He will appear in His glory. The victorious saints will stand on their feet—a terrifying army indeed!
They will enter their promised land in a spiritual sense, meaning they will inherit the fullness of the Presence of God, the spiritual "rest" of God. All things will be given to them.
In addition they will enter with the greater Son of David through the gates of physical Jerusalem, there to bring release to the people and land of Israel.
They compose the most powerful of all armies—the army of Christ.
There are many passages of Scripture that describe the army of resurrected saints:
. . . a great people and a strong, there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. (Joel 2:2)
. . . when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops. (Habakkuk 3:16)
I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness. (Isaiah 13:3)
. . . and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding army. (Ezekiel 37:10)
. . . and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. (Zechariah 14:5)
. . . Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, (Jude 1:14)
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (Revelation 19:14)
This is the entering of the Kingdom of God into the earth by the hand of God in Christ in the saints.
The nations that have invaded Jerusalem will be destroyed by the army of the Lord.
Spiritual Israel and natural Israel will come into glory at the same time and the light of the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord will issue from the saints and cover the whole earth.
Living waters will flow from Jerusalem:
And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. (Zechariah 14:8)
The living water is the Spirit of God that will flow from the saints who have entered the spiritual fulfillment of the feast of Tabernacles. The Spirit of God always flows from the Throne of God. The purified remnant has become the firstfruits of the new Jerusalem. They are the Throne of God and of the Lamb forever.
. . . and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward:.... (Ezekiel 47:1)
The expression "eastward" refers to the rising of the Sun of righteousness, Christ, in the Day of the Lord.
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. (Revelation 22:1)
In the last day, that great day of the feast [of Tabernacles], Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (John 7:37,38)
To be continued.
