The adamic nature is determined to force its will and will scheme, manipulate, threaten, bluff, lie, and use every other device until its will is accomplished. As such it often wins the battle and loses the war. No one enjoys having such a person around.

The leaders will compete with each other, striving for the mastery, striving for preeminence. The Presence of the Spirit of God will leave the Christian assemblings in that day because the Spirit will not dwell where there is hatred, conflict, bitterness, jealousy, envy, strife, backbiting, manipulating, party loyalties.

The worldwide witness of the first half of the week will be accomplished by an extraordinary Presence of the Glory of God. When that Presence lifts and people no longer are being carried out of themselves but are thrown back on their fallen nature to carry on the work of God, then lust, the love of the world, and personal ambition will completely destroy the Christian witness in the major cities of the earth.

The true saints, the holy remnant, will be driven into the wilderness areas of the earth. At this time the Throne of God will be increased in them. There will be deliverance in this remnant for whoever of the cities chooses to go out to them. The remnant will be protected until the Lord returns.

The Presence and salvation of Christ will be found only in the remnant. It will not be possible to pray or receive Christ in the cities Antichrist controls.

Some of the peoples of the earth will assist the remnant and by doing so will gain eternal life for themselves and their families. It is possible that some may, like Rahab, actually become a part of God's elect because of the service they render. It was possible under the Law for a sojourner in Israel to circumcise himself and his family and then partake of the Passover like a native-born Jew.

If I am not mistaken a remnant of Jews will flee from Jerusalem when Antichrist sits on the Mercy Seat in the rebuilt Temple. They will join with the remnant hidden away. The heavenly Joseph with His bride (now part of Israel by marriage to Him) will take care of the Jews during the "famine," so to speak.

We understand therefore that the most momentous of all days are upon us. As far as we as an individual are concerned, we need to overcome lust, the love of material things and money, and personal ambition. While such conquest may be impossible in our own strength it is not impossible to the galactic Christ. He has the power. He is well able to impart His courage, strength, and faith to you until there is enough iron and steel in your belly to enable you to say no to lust, no to the desire for wealth, and no to self-will and personal ambition.

The power is there waiting for you to avail yourself of it. It is the same power that created outer space and all the galaxies of stars. In other words, there is enough power to help you.

Are you going to indulge yourself in the debaucheries of America? Or are you going to come out from this stinking protoplasm and lay hold on the eternal Life of God?

The first path leads to the dissolution of your personality. The second path leads to strength, fruitfulness, authority, and the Presence of God in Christ.
