DEALING WITH CHAOS

I feel like Ze’ev Jabotinsky, this morning, as he warned the Jews of the coming Holocaust. I believe trouble is coming our way and we need to get closer to the Lord Jesus than ever before. It appears that several ministers of the Gospel with a gift of prophecy, along with myself, are proclaiming that God is ready to judge America with severity.

I may be mistaken, but I don’t believe the problem lies with the Democratic party or the Republican party. I think regardless of who is elected, the same problems will surface. This is because the cause of the destructive forces in our society is sin.

An additional destructive force is that of religious tolerance. We are viewing tolerance as though it were a Bible value. Religious tolerance is a democratic value, not a Christian value.

Many religions are practiced in America. However, the Christian religion has been predominant, as the number of Christian churches will bear witness. The Christian God is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Father of Christ is the true God, and the only One who should be worshiped in our country. There has not been a problem previously, because the other religions, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, and smaller sects, go about their business without materially affecting our culture.

Now we have the Muslim religion, which, according to their spokespersons, is determined to take over our government and our way of life. This is taking place in England as well, and in other countries.

England failed its Christian role miserably at the end of the Olympics. There were three hours of contemporary musical groups, if you can imagine, and not one mention of the tremendous Christian history of England. While all the world was watching, England celebrated rock and roll. You can be sure there shall be Divine judgment on England because of this failure to recognize Christ.

The same refusal to recognize Christ is taking place in America also. It is maintained that we must not mention Christ publicly because of the fear of offending other religions. Christ warned that if we refuse to recognize Him, He shall refuse to recognize us before the Father. Our God is a jealous God. If we begin to make a place for another god by refusing to proclaim Jesus Christ, God will leave us to our devices. This is a significant problem at the present time.

There only is one God and one Lord Jesus Christ whom we are to worship. Our nation has held this truth from the beginning. No other god is welcome on our shores in the name of tolerance! The admission to America of another god will lead to chaos. It is our God who has made America the world leader. That leadership is slipping away from us because of false gods, and because of sin.

Concerning sin, as nearly as I can tell, the widespread sinning in America is due to false doctrine in the Christian churches. The terms “righteous” and “righteousness” are used numerous times in the Bible. These terms almost always apply to upright behavior. Very, very seldom do they apply to applied, or imputed, righteousness.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. (Psalm 89:14)
Judgment will again be founded on righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it. (Psalm 94:15)

If we somehow were to come up against the true God, we would discover that He is a great Mountain of righteousness. To my knowledge, this is not true of any other god that is worshiped.

The current Christian teaching in America does not stress righteous behavior. The believers have been taught they are righteous by “accepting Christ.” As a result, their behavior is no different from the unsaved.

The unsaved know what righteousness is. Probably all the other religions of the world know what righteousness is. But Christian people do not know what righteous behavior is. They have it mixed up with their religious doctrines.

Consequently, the light of good works is exceedingly dim. Our people and our government are reflecting the paucity of righteous behavior in the Christian churches.

The very term “righteous” is a cause for sneering because of the conduct of the Christian people. We cannot expect the government or the unsaved people to be the moral light of America. It is the Christian people who have the responsibility of showing good works in themselves.

When Christ is dwelling in people, they begin to behave righteously. How could it be otherwise? Is a Christ-filled individual going to steal, lie, commit adultery, fornicate, speak the filthy language of demons, betray his wife and children, fill himself with drugs and alcohol? We ought to know better than that!

The doctrines of lawless-grace and the rapture must go. They do not lead to righteous behavior. And do not claim unscripturally that God sees Christ’s righteousness when you are sinning, making the Father and Christ accessories to your unrighteous conduct!

Imputed, or assigned, righteousness is not a light by which the nation can live. The light of which Christ spoke of is honesty, truthfulness, faithfulness, moral purity, kindness, mercy, and humility. If these are not beginning to show forth in our life, we are not being saved. I said, we are not being saved!

Salvation is not from earth to Heaven. Salvation is from sin to righteous behavior, from Satan to Christ.

Because it appears that there is nothing that will prevent the invasion of other gods, and nothing that will change the Gospel preaching in America, chaos in the near future appears inevitable.

We can say we repent. We can pray. But the deep down change in Christian thinking about sin and righteousness must change. And I have not seen signs of that happening.

To repent is much more than saying you are sorry. To repent is to change your behavior.

Regarding political oratory, I do not read that the candidates are talking about abortion, sexual perversions, morally filthy entertainment, the worship of money, or the love of pleasure. Probably they do not speak about these things because they know they would not be elected.

They will speak about jobs (which is important) and about the incredible government debt. But they do not emphasize the prevailing immorality, and that, plus the invasion of foreign gods, are the reasons for the disasters we are experiencing and will experience.

Unless and until there is a change in the moral standards in our society, and such change must begin with Christian people, within a relatively short time America will be a much weakened nation.

Because I do not have much faith that Christian preaching is going to change, or that people in positions of responsibility will permit the public presentations of Christ, I am devoting myself to teaching people how to deal with chaos.

Christianity was born under the rule of an emperor and it can survive and multiply under any sort of government, be it democratic, socialistic, monarchial, feudal, or any other. However, we Christians must get closer to Jesus if we are to survive and stand blamelessly before our Lord when the prevailing sin brings about food shortages and the lack of other resources and luxuries we are accustomed to in America.

Without any doubt, we need to learn to live by the Life of the Lord Jesus, asking Him about every decision we make. If we will keep close to Jesus, we shall save ourselves and our loved ones.

But if we continue in the customary way of American believers, living a casual spiritual life with one foot in the world, we are not going to be able to stand or help others to stand in the days of the American chaos.

As I have preached so many times, we must keep our minds in the heavenlies with the Lord Jesus and guard carefully against fretting when we see the antics of Satan. Cursing the spiritual darkness will do nothing except possibly relieve our irritation. We must tear down the demonic strongholds with the weapons of prayer, obedience, and faithfulness.

If we are not spending time alone with the Lord in prayer and Bible reading, we had better turn off Facebook and begin seeking the face of the Lord Jesus.

Below are a few verses of Scripture that should be learned, so in the time of trouble we will have an anchor for our faith.

Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.
(Psalm 37:1)
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
(Isaiah 26:3)
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
(Psalm 37:25)
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
(Hebrews 13:5)
He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;

Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.”
(Isaiah 30:15)
For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,
(Romans 8:13)
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I suggest that you copy these verses and post them in some prominent place in your house so you can refer to them often.

And don’t forget Psalm 91! It helped many an Englishman during World War Two.
